After a day when more or less everything went to plan for India, IrfanPathan, who played a key role in the batting renaissance with abelligerent 58-ball 52, spoke to the media about India’s chances ofwrapping up the match on the final day. While playing down his claims togenuine allrounder status, Pathan asserted that the team had always beenconfident of grinding out a result, despite the inclement weather that haddisrupted the opening two days of the game.On when he will be convinced that he’s an allrounderMaybe when I get a couple of hundreds (smiles). I still think I’m a bowlerwho can bat. I know my limitations and I’m doing well with my limitations. On the importance of getting Kevin Pietersen cheaplyHe’s a very good player who can take the game away from you in a session.Harbhajan bowled very well. All the bowlers did. Me and Munaf at thebeginning, and the spinners later. On India’s positionIt’s been wonderful, we played well today. There are still 90 overs to goand if we bowl well and get them out cheaply, we have a pretty goodchance. We are really confident. On the pitchIt’s turning and the spinners are getting a bit of bounce especially fromthe rough. On whether he was surprised that India were in this position after allthe time lostNot really surprised because we knew that if we bowled well, especially upfront, we could get wickets quickly. I’m not surprised at the position weare in right now.
